Right now I live in Houston. I'm from Corpus Christi, TX so I've always lived in the hot, flat land but I love the hills/mountains. I'm trying to find a place to move but it seems like there are so many so I was wondering if anyone on here lives in a place I might like and/or has some suggestions. Here's what I'm looking for: Reasonable cost of living 4 seasons (but not Alaska cold) Lots of outdoor activities (hiking, hunting, fishing) Family friendly Population 50,000 - 300,000 Majority Republican/Republican friendly Majority middle class (not a big gap between haves & have nots) My husband is in the oil & gas industry and is an explosives expert so we would need to move somewhere that is friendly to that sort of industry or something in the environmental field, or health & safety. I would prefer to be somewhere in the South, Tennessee, Carolinas, Mississippi. I don't think I would feel so far away from my Southern roots in places like that vs somewhere like Montana.
